Travel description:
Glen Affric is rightly one of the most beautiful valleys in Scotland and this trail is a true classic. It is sandwiched between imposing mountains and Caledonian forests. The Highland clans drove their cattle through Glen Affric from the Isle of Skye through this valley to the cattle markets in Inverness. And the best thing about it: you can only reach this spot on earth on foot. It is also a site steeped in history from the Jacobite uprisings in the 18th century. You rarely find so much rough and at the same time breathtaking, untouched nature in Europe today. An impressive mountain world that we will also admire from "above" on this tour. The view of the "Five Sisters of Kintail" will stay with you forever!
